This cutting-edge international firm specializes in electronic design automation tools and consulting. When an international meeting brought 375 sales people together, many were strangers to each other. The company needed a half-day team-building event that would build cohesion among different sales functions and teams so they could work together effectively in pursuit of serious team objectives.

Process
The Advantage solution was Gold of the Desert Kings, from Eagle's Flight. This stimulating business game immediately broke the ice and involved the entire audience in team behavior.

The game is an exciting simulation in which groups work together to cross a hostile desert to the mountains, mine for gold, and return across the desert to home base. Along the way, they learn the difference between activity and productivity, the value of commitment and teamwork, how to plan to achieve goals, ways to improve communication across functions and departments, and strategies for using scarce resources effectively. At the conclusion of the simulation, the engineering sales staff had renewed confidence in their ability to set goals, plan, manage resources, lead, and work in teams.
