Russ Holden Joins Advantage Performance Group Team as Pharmaceutical Industry Consultant

Veteran Managed Care and Sales Training Expert to Further Boost Reputation of Human Performance Network in Pharma and Biotech Sectors

BOSTON, MA (October 12, 2004) - Advantage Performance Group (APG), one of the world's largest human performance consulting networks, today announced that 37-year industry veteran Russ Holden has joined the team as a consultant-at-large to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. Holden will help meet the healthy demand for APG's experiential sales and leadership training programs in these competitive sectors.

“APG has the best approach for pharmaceutical companies by 'doing training right' and strongly linking it to business results,” said Russ Holden. “APG really understands the challenges and opportunities that these companies face every day and I'm excited to be a part of the team that supports their great work.”

With 28 years of experience in pharmaceuticals and 9 years in biotechnology, Holden has a deep understanding of what it takes to be successful in both industries. Holden's 37-year career spans sales, marketing, managed care, and management with work experience in the U.S. and Latin America.

Complex business processes at most pharmaceutical companies require a strong understanding of everything from managed care to regulations to the reality of 30-second sales meetings with doctors. Holden's arrival coincides with a need in the industry for team-selling training that helps employees build expertise quickly while learning what activities will have the greatest impact on revenues. APG has helped several pharmaceutical companies do just this by integrating sales training for diverse disciplines in a way that helps all employees understand the complexities of their company's business processes.

”Russ probably has more knowledge about managed care and sales and training in the pharmaceutical industry than anyone else we've worked with,” said Kelvin Yao, APG Partner. “His addition to the APG team will strengthen our pharmaceutical and biotech practice to go beyond our numerous successes in implementing experiential and customized human performance programs for savvy companies worldwide.”
