Polly Thompson Joins Advantage Performance Group's Network of Performance Management Entrepreneurs
Thompson Helps Clients Develop Tactics That Convey Their Brand Promise And Leverage Marketing Strategies
Charlottesville, VA (July 11, 2005) Advantage Performance Group, one of the world's largest human performance consulting networks, today announced the addition of veteran training consultant Polly Thompson to their roster of partners. Thompson has launched an APG affiliate office in Charlottesville, Virginia, and will serve organizations in Northern and Central Virginia, as well as other key market segments with innovative sales, service, and leadership training designed to help organizations maximize growth and marketing strategies, which can result in faster business goal attainment for the entire organization.
As an APG affiliate, Thompson will leverage the experience of APG's co-owners and alliances with premier suppliers to deliver the most effective training, including experiential, discovery learning. Thompson will serve several high-paced corporate sectors, as well as military recruiting and expanding government agencies.
A seasoned sales and customer service specialist with extensive experience in military recruiting and retention, as well as corporate sales performance, Thompson will consult with clients to design and integrate the targeted training that will enable their people to support broader organizational missions.
"Many organizations invest heavily in advertising and marketing, yet fail to communicate the strategy down to the front lines, the single greatest contact point for a company. When customers interact with that front line person, either sales or service, their experience should reflect the brand promise the organization is touting," says Thompson. APG offers extensive resources from thought leaders in the training industry, across a broad number of capabilities, including assessment, benchmarking and skills development, with contemporary learning methods.
"I love helping the front line feel part of the company strategy and responsible for their company's success. When employees know what's expected and what they need to do better or differently, they become enthusiastic contributors and can help the company deliver on its promise to the customer," Thompson noted.
Thompson is also excited to offer a unique method to help training professionals measure and prove the effectiveness of training. "In all my years in the industry, the question always comes down to: what good is this training? How do we know it's effective? With APG's proprietary system, The Advantage Way, I feel confident I can help training professionals and senior executives answer these questions."
Most recently, Thompson worked as an independent consultant, but found she wanted the "depth and breadth" of APG's resources. "APG and the content providers they work with bring value and credibility that help me give my clients the very fresh approaches to training and development they need. I can continue to provide in-depth business relationships with my clients while bringing a broad number of excellent, independent resources to them."
Thompson also served 18 years as senior salesperson for AchieveGlobal and as a top training consultant with Xerox Learning Systems for 5 years. "Polly brings a wealth of sales leadership training experience to our team," said Glenn Jackson, president of Advantage Performance Group. "She has a history of developing businesses and we're pleased to have her leverage APG's resources and bring some outstanding sales force and customer experience programs to Virginia."
