APG Parent Company BTS Nets Prestigious Awards for Excellence in Simulations and Learning in 2008
Experiential Learning Leader and Clients Recognized by Industry Heavyweights

- Training magazine, Training in Action Awards, with Accenture, Simulations & Serious Games
Training magazine honored Accenture and BTS for the Enterprise Senior Manager Core Program (ESMC). The ESMC uses a customized simulation to provide enterprise employees with a competitive, intense experience that helped align these employees along Accenture's global business strategy and build their business acumen. One of the ten highest-rated employee courses Accenture offers (out of 22,000), the ESMC program has demonstrated powerful evidence that employees are transferring the learning to their jobs.
- Brandon-Hall "Excellence in Learning Awards", Gold for Best Use of Games & Learning
Accenture and BTS were recognized for the "Enterprise Senior Manager Core Program" which provides financial acumen and strategic alignment for enterprise management throughout Accenture.
- Chief Learning Officer's "Learning in Practice Award" for "Excellence in Simulations" Silver
BTS received this honor based on a unique business strategy leadership development program for managers at Tiffany & Co., the world's premier jeweler, to further its success in marrying classic product creativity and solid business innovation, while undergoing the rapid global growth which brought it to $2.9 billion in revenues in 2007.
- Chief Learning Officer's "Learning in Practice Award" for BTS client NetApp
BTS client NetApp was recognized for its groundbreaking executive-level development programs, incorporating competitive business simulations from BTS. These customized business simulations helped NetApp align its global leadership through complex business situations involving strategic initiatives, key decisions and unexpected events.
- Training Magazine "Top 10 Young Trainers" Honor, Dan Parisi
Dan Parisi, Executive Vice President and BTS San Francisco Managing Director, was selected by Training magazine as a "top ten trainer under 40." Parisi was singled out by Training editors and an independent judging panel comprising members of Training's Editorial Advisory Board.
- ASTD – Distinguished Contribution to Workplace Learning and Performance Award
Rob Brinkerhoff, Partner at APG, a BTS company, was named the 2008 recipient of this award, whose past winners include Ken Blanchard, Peter Senge and Peter Block.
- GetEnergy Award, Most Significant Contribution to Staff Learning and Development, BG Group, for "Business Discovery", developed with BTS
BG Group plc (BG Group), a global integrated gas major, was given a top award by Getenergy, an education and training trade group for the oil and gas industry, for making the most significant contribution to its staff learning and development in 2007, with the implementation of "Business Discovery", a business simulation program developed together with BTS.
- ASTD Excellence in Practice, honorable mention for Agilent Technologies, in Workplace Learning and Development for a leadership development program designed with BTS.
