Julie Dervin is a Director of L&D with Cargill, an international producer and marketer of food, agricultural, financial and industrial products and services. Cargill employs 142,000 people in 65 countries. Julie is responsible for leading their L&D Business Partnerships and Virtual Learning Technology teams. Since joining Cargill in 2008, Julie has led the adoption and implementation of high impact learning practices resulting in greater alignment between learning and the business from where they were 4 years ago as an L&D function. In addition, Julie has been leading Cargill’s transformation in the adoption of virtual and technology enabled learning in order to make learning resources more accessible to their global workforce while ensuring cost effective, scalable solutions for the businesses they support around the globe. Prior to joining Cargill, she was the Vice President of Learning & Development for Insight, Enterprises, a global Fortune 500 technology company, headquartered in Tempe, AZ. Julie has a BA in Psychology from University of Cincinnati, and a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership from Norwich University.
