Building success in talent development – one thought at a time.
Lean in to human skills
“ As more and more artificial intelligence is entering into the world, more and more emotional intelligence must enter into leadership.”
– Amit Ray
Yesterday we caught up with Wendy Baker at BlueEQ—our thought leader partner helping organizations around the world elevate business performance by measuring and improving the emotional intelligence of their leaders, teams, and overall culture.
Wendy noted that many clients are navigating a period of significant change—managing economic pressures, organizational shifts, and emerging technologies like AI. “AI is on everyone’s mind and how it will impact roles and team dynamics,” she shared. “It comes up in nearly every conversation.”
These shifts often lead to heightened stress, indecision, internal conflict, and inertia.
But inaction is not a strategy. This is precisely the moment when organizations need to lean into human skills. Psychological safety, self-awareness, empathy, and the other uniquely human skills and dimensions that comprise the EQ landscape are no longer “nice to have.” They’re strategic differentiators.
“This is exactly where you should lean in,” Wendy emphasized. “Especially when navigating AI, the human-in-the-loop will continue to remain essential, in many cases, even more so.”
Talk to us—or your Advantage partner—about the many ways your organization can begin a BlueEQ learning journey. Because emotional intelligence is your organization’s human advantage.
