Talent Development Tuesday : Go fish (fish icon)

Go fish

“Learn to live in a thousand joys of the present moment. Why? Because that’s where the fish are.”
John O’Hurley (aka J. Peterman in Seinfeld)

If we’ve learned anything from the dreary year that was 2020, it’s this: While we cannot control what happens to us, we can control how we choose to respond. The power is in the present moment and in each one that follows.

The power of the present was a poignant message for our recent holiday Zoom party from the actor John O’Hurley in a Cameo we sought out for our event. While we expected humor, we’re especially glad he chose to share something more.

O’Hurley found fame in the ’90s hit series Seinfeld as the character J. Peterman (the Seventh Most Interesting Man the World) and later as a game show host and as winner of the first season of Dancing with the Stars along with his dance partner Charlotte Jørgensen in a fan-driven rematch. He’s also among the thousands of performers who now offer their time and talent in personal video messages for hire. You can enjoy his full message to us here.

Our wish for you in 2021 is that you will find a thousand joys in each present moment, come what may.  Let them fuel a positive mindset built on empathy, determination, and hope. We’re all going to need it.

Thank you for being part of our journey. Let’s go fish!

One great thing: The actor John O’Hurley provides a source for hope in 2021.
