Expanding the talent pool

When First Horizon Bank merged with IberiaBank in 2020 to become an entity with more than 8,000 associates and $80 billion in assets, Dr. Mario Brown found himself in his first-ever executive job as the organization’s new chief talent development officer.

As the challenges of merging two 100+-year-old companies with very different cultures and service models came into focus, so did 2020’s urgent call for greater diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Yesterday, Brown and Advantage Partner Bennett Phillips (filling in for Andy Storch as guest host) held a recorded conversation together about those challenges for an upcoming episode of the Talent Development Hot Seat podcast.
