HELPING LEADERS LEAD

Weaving alignment, capability, and AI strategy

The challenge

The executive team for a U.S.-based, global textile enterprise recognizes that artificial intelligence will play a meaningful role in the company’s future, but lacks a shared vision for how and where to apply it. Leaders bring varying levels of AI fluency, and while early pilots generate real value, those efforts remain isolated. The organization needs a common language, clear leadership alignment, and a practical framework to move from experimentation to an intentional, enterprise-wide strategy.

The impact

By the end of the day, the executive team shared a clear, unified view of AI’s role in the organization. Leaders left with new capabilities, defined opportunities for experimentation, and a cohesive roadmap for the next phase of their AI transformation—aligned on strategy, direction, and next steps.

The company

A global specialty yarn, fabric, and materials enterprise with more than a century of family ownership, this organization blends long-term stewardship with modern industrial leadership. Operating in over 20 countries, it delivers high-performance materials and engineered solutions across outdoor, marine, protective, industrial, and furnishings markets. This company even made the material for the flag planted on the Moon by Apollo 11!

Guided by disciplined innovation and sustainable growth, its leadership team actively explores emerging technologies to stay ahead as work continues to evolve. Traditionally a B2B company, they are also exploring how they might open up B2C opportunities.

This is the first time I’ve learned a new skill and genuinely couldn’t wait to get home and start using it.”

Through a long-standing partnership with the company’s Learning & Development leader, Advantage Partner Chuck Quakenbush introduced Harness Intelligence’s Executive AI Acceleration Lab. Together, Advantage and Harness Intelligence designed a customized, one-day, in-person experience for the full C-suite along with selected early AI adopters from across the organization.

Leaders worked hands on keyboards—building real AI skills, analyzing live business challenges, and shaping clear strategic direction. The session emphasized collaboration, practical application, and alignment with the company’s culture and purpose.
