Let us know how we're doing or how we may help you.

We'd be happy to arrange a call with you to explore what we have discovered through our research and practical experience or to share possible ideas to help you create a more powerful and impactful high-potential leadership development program.

Our partners at the Cultivating Leaders Center of Excellence have just completed a global research effort to uncover the challenges of high-potential leadership programs, explore gaps, and identify best practices.

Researchers Richard Hodge and Jeannie Taylor organized their findings in a white paper titled 5 Truths and a Lie About High-Potential Leadership Programs – based on extensive interviews they conducted with talent and leadership executives in some of the most successful organizations around the world.

They're sharing their findings in this series of 3 webinars and in a mini learning journey consisting of steps designed around each of the 5 truths in the white paper.

Developing High Potential: A Mini Learning Journey

In successful programs, senior leaders are the secret sauce for any action learning programs that are deployed. They help select topics that meet the organization’s strategic needs and some even coach along the way.

A key part of helping people see how they show up as leaders is to help them build their self-awareness and emotional intelligence, which leads to an environment of psychological safety – a pillar for innovation, retention, and employee satisfaction.

Be practical. Focus on results, measure success along the journey, and make sure what your HIPOs are learning can be and is applied to achieve the most important results your organization cares about.

We found that the most successful organizations start early by assessing and developing talent right away – sometimes even during the recruitment and hiring process.

Organizations with successful programs use tools, methods, and practices to measure the behaviors that are required for increased levels of challenge and complexity.
